Number Bonds of 20

• With the number bond cards of 20

cut out, the tutor will randomly flash the
top card to learners. Learners will answer
individually.
• Tutor also illicit the inverse, e.g.
What number plus + 4 = 20
…therefore 20 – 4 = 16 and 20 – 16 = 4
• Tutor will get a copy of the bonds of
20 to use as flashcards.

• Each learner fills in their answers!

Let us solve this problem!
A man buys cell phones for all his stores. He buys 6 789 black phones, 1 567 brown cell
phones and 4 532 red cell phones. How many cell phones did he buy altogether?
