While I concur with an increase in fuel prices will solve the

problem of the environment. I still reckon that a global

awareness campaign is the most feasible option.
On the one hand, opponents of polluted environmental
problems can be solved by the policy of increasing fuel prices
and may state the following reasons to reinforce their claim.
Firstly, this policy might help cut down the emissions from
private vehicles which pollute the air in big cities. People
consider commuting and using environmentally friendly
means to create a clean, smoky environment. If they need to
travel, passengers might also turn to more cost-effective
means of transportation such as buses or electric bikes in
order to make a gorgeous environment. Indeed, It will
reduce a huge amount of waste and be good for the
environment.
On the other hand, I personally hold a strong belief that
raising the price of fuel to reduce the amount of smog only
solves a part of the environment. In fact, the environment is
not only destroyed by smoke but also by tiny things caused
by people, they often don't regard them as huge problems
but every single thing they do is deeply damaging to the
environment. Therefore, the most effective solution would
be running a world-wide campaign that raises the consumer
awareness about the environmental cost of their shopping
habits and presses companies to reduce the consumption of
noxious chemicals and resolve to greener cultivating and
manufacturing methods.
In conclusion, raising fuel costs alone isn’t the best
solution to solving the world’s environmental problems. Once
those solutions are taken, the global environment can slowly
improve.
