PERFORMANCE TASK #2

Name : Samantha Denisse L. Soltes Score :

Grade Level & Section: Grade 8- COMMITMENT Date Submitted : March 3, 2024
GRAPHING LINEAR EQUATIONS
STAINED GLASS WINDOW
PART 1. INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Choose 3 Linear Equations from each group below (12 equations in total).
2. Create one big Cartesian Plane using ONE GRAPHING PAPER or LONG BOND PAPER.
The y- axis is in the middle vertical line, while the x- axis is the middle horizontal line of the
graphing paper. Make sure that the axes are along the grid lines of the graphing paper.
3. Graph all 12 equations on one Cartesian Coordinate Plane. Please use a RULER.
4. In BLACK pen/ marker, draw over the lines. Neatly write the equation on each line.
5. Use different colored pencil or crayons to color the parts to create your stained- glass
window.
6. Complete this task on or before Thursday, March 7, 2024.
7. Your Part 1 outputs will be graded based on the following: Graphing of Linear Equations,
Labeling of equations, and Organizations. Instructions should be followed.

GRAPHING SYSTEMS OF LINEAR EQUATIONS

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Refer to the table below. Show the graph of each given and then answer the
following questions.
● Is your graph an intersecting lines, a parallel lines, or a coinciding lines?
● Identify and compare the slope and y-intercept of each equation.
2. Determine the number of solutions. If:
● Intersecting Lines - One Solution
● Parallel Lines - No Solution
● Same/ Coinciding Line - Infinite Solutions.
3. Your Part 2 outputs will be graded based on the following: Graph (3pts each table),
Questions answered (5pts each), Number of Solutions (2pts each). Total is 30 pts.

x+y=2 5x - y = - 6 2x + y = 7
