To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter to recommend Lauren Le for the Pathway Coordinator position at your school. I
have had the honor and privilege of working alongside Lauren at Bolsa Grande High School in Garden
Grove, California for the past year. Lauren is a strong, inclusive, and collaborative teacher. Being part of
the Social Science department, Lauren greatly collaborates with her colleagues, and plans engaging and
interactive lessons.

Within Lauren’s classroom, one is able to feel and observe the rapport Lauren has built with her students
with the way the students treat each other, as well as any visitors to the classroom. The students
understand their daily learning objectives and goals, and are able to see the importance to how the subject
matter is related to their lives. Lauren provides a variety of teaching methods to engage and support all
learners. She provides her students with different learning modalities. For example, kinesthetic learners
get the opportunity to travel around the room to learn by doing a gallery walk or coffee house. Artistic
students can share their talents and knowledge of historic figures by creating a 2D Funko Pop design.
Furthermore, Lauren understands the importance of collaborative learning groups, and arranges students
to be seated in pods with peers that can support each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

Moreover, as the co-advisor of Vietnamese Student Association (VSA), Lauren assists with leading the
students in community service, leadership, and appreciation of Vietnamese culture. Coming from a family
of Lion Dancers, Lauren greatly assists in heading the Lion Dance team division of VSA to have
productive practices and amazing performances, especially during the Lunar New Year. Besides spending
time afterschool supervising Lion Dance, Lauren also is an amazing coach for the Girls Junior Varsity
(JV) Basketball Team. Lauren coached and led the team to win undefeated ten to zero.

Lauren is a caring and innovative teacher and an outstanding colleague, and I have no doubt that she will
