To Examine and observe the distributed network topology within out laboratory environments

LAB Network Lab, Compiler lab Reason

Topology Star Hybrid Topology In a star topology, all devices are

connected to a central hub or switch.
Each device communicates directly with
the central hub, and data flows through
this central point. The advantage of a
star topology is that if one connection
fails, it doesn't affect the rest of the
network.

A hybrid topology combines two or

more different types of network
topologies. For instance, it might
integrate elements of a star, bus, ring, or
mesh topology within a single network.
Switch Cisco 110 series 24 port gigabit rack mount It can connect to 24 machines

Scope of extension Can be extended by the help of one more Scalability: Adding another hub or
switch allows the network to expand its
capacity to accommodate more devices.
In a star hybrid topology, each hub or
switch serves as a central point for a set
of devices
Cable Cat 6 higher performance and reliability
compared to previous cable categories
like Cat 5 and Cat 5e
Possibility for some faults Can be repaired by using simple new cat 6 or switch
should be changed

Power Backup

HUB Hub is replaced by switches because switches direct Unlike hubs, switches support full
data specifically to the intended recipient reducing duplex communication, enabling
network congection and collicion simultaneous data transmission and
enhacncing network efficiency.
Router Used only for mobile phones/laptop

Backup option Always two or more network cable served to other

rooms of technology Centre by network lab server
