At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. define common mental health illness disorders;
b. appreciate the importance of seeking professional help and support for
mental health concerns;
c. practice relaxation techniques and stress management strategies to
support mental well-being.

Task: The teacher will prepare an activity that contains the words might
encounter in the pursuit topic. These words may unfold some ideas along the
discussions.

The teacher will give more insight about the mental illness.
The teacher will differentiate the Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar
Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Post-traumatic stress disorder

What is major depressive disorder in your own idea?
How about schizophrenia?
How will you manage if you have this kind of mental illness?
c.4 Application
Instructions:
1. Ask students to sit comfortably in their chairs with their feet flat on the floor
and their hands resting on their laps.
2. Instruct them to close their eyes or softly gaze downward.
3. Guide students to take a deep breath in through their nose, counting to
four.
4. Have them hold their breath for a count of two.
5. Encourage students to slowly exhale through their mouth, counting to six.
6. Repeat this breathing pattern for 5 minutes, focusing on the sensation of
the breath entering and leaving their body.
Ask a question:
1. What did you feel during the exercise of breathing?
2. What challenges did you encounter while trying to maintain focus on your
breath?
3. How can breathing help you manage stress in your daily life?
IV. ASSESSMENT
Direction: Explain how can you support a friend who is showing signs of a
mental health illness or disorder?
V. ASSIGNMENT
Direction: Interview a family member or friend about their views on mental
illness or disorder and share your insights in a short essay.
