GENDER EQUALITY
1. Introduction:
The factory believes in equality of opportunities and treatment between men and a
woman because it is just and fair and promotes good business and better performance.
The factory has created an inclusive climate for men and women to work together in
harmony on the basis of equality and neutrality.

2. Factory’s commitment to equality of men and women:


The factory has prohibited discrimination on grounds including gender, race ethnic origin,
religion, political belief age, region, caste languages etc. It has also prevented and direct
discrimination on the basis of marital status or family responsibilities.

3. Program for consultation, complaint processing and monitoring.


Mechanism: The factory has developed its policies of equalities in employment program
through effective communication and consultation. The factory has established task
forces and enquiry committees including women representatives and members as
appropriate to address question of gender discrimination. It will monitor the following
aspects:-

(a) Monitoring and control mechanism


(b) Communication system
(c) Employment practice and progressing review
(d) Special target or designed group recruitment and training effects
(e) Co-ordination, complaint processing and follow up action

4. Compliance with legal frame work:


We fully comply with construction and legal obligations in respect of discrimination,
equity of opportunities in employment and occupation.

5. Company Expectations about Employees Responsibility:


The company shall consciously monitors the relations between men and women so as
committee to put them on an equal footing. A committee has been formed under admin
officer for monitoring the relations the company will expects its employees to
understand, value respect and abide by its policy of equality between men and women in
every sense.

6. Positive action in recruitment:


To bridge the existing gap if any in terms of gender parity at any and every level, other
things being equal, the company will give preference to women.

7. Education and training:


The factory has program to educate the workers in respect of health hazard and working
place improvement plan under the leadership of admin officer.

The company encourages the working couples to work together. It also helps them to
build their career according to their choice.

9. Pay equity:
The company shall not discriminate between men and women in water of pay and fringe
benefits for same jobs.

10. Due concern for workers with family responsibilities:


The company will comply with legal obligation of the employees in this regard. At present
4 months maternity leave given to pregnant ladies. It has developed a cooperative and
flexible approach to facilitate a woman to return to her job after giving birth to her child.

12. Sexual harassment:


Every employee shall be treated with respect and dignity. No employee shall be subject
to any physical, sexual psychological or verbal harassment or abuse. Strict disciplinary
actions are taken to sexual harassment cases.
