Meet Zippy the Sloth! This sloth is just the right size for cuddles! He’s a little bit shy, but I know
he’d love to be your friend just the same!

Finished size approximately: 8 in. (20.5 cm.) tall

Materials: Abbreviation key (US terms):

 Worsted weight yarn (4 ply) in sc - single crochet


light brown, cream, dark brown, &
st/sts - stitch(es)
black. I like to use “I Love this
Yarn” or “Red Heart”. Sl st – slip stitch
 F (3.75 mm) crochet hook
dec - decrease (join the next 2 stitches
 15mm black safety eyes &/or
together)
black shank eyes
 Dark brown felt & matching inc - increase (2 single crochet in the
sewing thread next stitch)
 Fiberfill (or your stuffing of choice)
R1 - round 1
 Yarn needle
 Scissors Rep – repeat
 Stitch marker BLO – back loops only

Insert hook into st, yarn over & pull hook Note: All rounds are worked

Switch to brown yarn eyes in. Insert eyes between R4 & 5. See pic.
#2 for exact placement. Do not attach the

Finish off leaving a tail for sewing. Set aside R5: *Sc 3, inc 1* rep 2 times (10 sts)
until the arms and legs are made. Once the
R6-8: Sc in all 10 sts (3 rounds total—10 sts)

Note: If you like a longer armed sloth, just
