Foundation: Open foundations resting on Soft Dense Rock / Hard Rock at varying depth; Substructure: Single fluted RCC

Length of each Bridge is approximately 4.3 km with approach spans of 50 mts each and 500 mts Cable stay portion
with 130 mts high Pylon with connector bridges and Ramps. The proposed Link Bridge consists of twin continuous
concrete box girder bridge sections for traffic in each direction. Each bridge section except at the cable - stayed portion is
supported on piers typically spaced at 50 meters. The Link Bridge layout is categorized into three different parts:

­ Part 1 - The north end approach structure mainly with precast (PC) segmental construction. The bridge is of typically 6
Continuous spans of 50 meters each.
­ Part 2 - The Cable Stayed Bridge at Bandra channel is with 50m - 250m - 250m - 50m span arrangement and the Cable
Stayed Bridge at Worli channel is with 50m - 50m - 150m - 50m - 50m span arrangement.
­ Part 3 - The south end approach structure mainly with precast segmental construction. This portion of the bridge is

method for the entry and exit ramps.
For the Cable Stay Bridge the Pylon tower is 130 m above the pile cap, the deck is held by galvanized wires stay cables in
various numbers.
Method of Erection: Segments are erected at site with Overhead launching system, segments transported through Trailor /
Barges.
