Part 1: 1-5 words

1. What do you like to do in the evening? – I like to watch TV.
2. What is your favorite device? – It is my smart phone.
3. Where would you like to live? – In Hanoi.
4. Do you often use Facebook? – I use Facebook every day.
5. What do you do? – I am a doctor.
Part 2: Tell me about the last time you went to the/a museum? (20-30 words)
The last time I went to a museum was last month when visited HCM city. I went to ABC
Museum which was in the city center. It displayed a lot of objects in the past.

Part 3: (30-40 words)

1. Tell me about a time you went to the museum when you were a child?

It was about 20 years ago when I was 8, my parents took me to HCM Museum which
displayed a lot of things related to Uncle Ho, the greatest leader of Vietnam. It was
the first time I had visited a museum.

2. My children want to visit museums. Should I take them to sport museums or war
museum?

It is advisable for you to take them to war museum because they can see a lot things in
the wars in the past like tanks, helicopter, hats, or clothes. I believe that the children
will like it.

3. A lot of museums use technologies and videos in their exhibitions. Why are they so
successful?

Technologies can make the exhibitions more interesting and so they can attract more
people to come. Videos can provide us the most realistic life of the people in the past.

Part 4:
“Dear members,
Normally, our museum does not issue entrance fees. However, some people suggest we
should issue entrance fee to cover the museum’s maintenance cost. What do you think about
this suggestion? Please give us your idea.”
1. Email to your friend. (informal letter – 50 words)
Hi Jane,
It’s Mary. Have you got the latest email from our club about entrance fees? Do you
think we should issue entrance fee? I think it is a good idea. I am going to write an email
to the manager to give him my suggestion.

2. Email to the club. (formal – 120-150 words)

Dear Mr. David,
My name is Mary. I have been a member of our club for six months. I have got the
email from the club that we should issue entrance fee to cover the museum’s maintenance
cost. I am writing this email to give you my suggestion.
People may have different ideas about this. Personally, I think that it is advisable for
us to issue entrance fee. I believe that most of the members will support this idea
because we need money to operate and maintain the museum. Many visitors are willing to
pay some money for the tickets. To raise more money, it is a good idea for us to get
sponsorship from businesses or individuals in our area.
