3R is an acronym for the first 3 letters in English: Reduce – Reuse – Recycle. This is
a very effective solution to protect the environment, to contribute to economical use
of natural resources, while bringing benefits great economic and social benefits.
The first, reduce is to reduce the amount of waste generated by changing lifestyle,
consumption, improving production processes... This is the optimization of the
production and consumption process in terms of the environment, creating produces
the greatest amount of product, uses resources most efficiently and produces the least
amount of waste.
- There are some ways to reduce waste:
+ Bring a bag when shopping
+ You should buy food in containers paper packaging
+ Turn off electrical equipment when not in use
+ Should take advantage of sunlight (in classrooms, houses...), period
Save electricity and water to reduce the need for energy (electricity, batteries) and
reduce waste generated by their production.
The second, reuse is the reuse of a product, or part of a product, for the same purpose,
or for a different purpose, using a product many times until its lifespan expires.
- There are several ways that materials can be reused such as:
+ Reuse cloth bags, curtains, cloth rags, gift wrapping paper,
newspapers, bottles with lids, old books, old keyboards, bottle caps
…. for other purposes
+ Keep the seeds when eating fruits and vegetables, coffee grounds, stale bread, etc.
+ Collect old clothes to help the poor

and products.
- Some ways it can be recycled include:
+ Recycle: make toys, decorations and other items from: Discarded straws, CD boxes
and discs, Milk cartons, Discarded paper cores, Old plastic bottles,….

Plastic: Plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic boxes,...
Metal: Iron, aluminum, copper,...

Planting trees helps reduce street heat and prevent the effects of ultraviolet rays -
Protects the environment
Just imagine, it's a hot summer day walking on a road with no trees. How will you
feel? Trees become cool shade to block the sunlight from shining directly on
passersby. This helps reduce the effects of ultraviolet rays on the skin. Planting trees
in streets and residential areas helps us regulate the air and block sunlight. Leaves use
sunlight for photosynthesis. Trees also absorb toxic gases emitted from vehicle fumes,
restaurants, factory dust, garbage and heat emitted by humans, helping to reduce heat.
If you grow plants around your house. That will make your house cooler and use less
air conditioning. By reducing energy demand, we not only save on electricity bills but
also reduce the amount of CO2 emitted from power plants.
Improve human health and balance the biological system - Protect the environment
In recent years, diseases related to the respiratory and cardiovascular systems have
increased significantly. Living in a quiet, fresh environment will make your health
better. Planting more trees is a natural, long-term measure to improve this situation.
Illegal forest exploitation has a significant impact on environmental protection. Wild
animals have no place to live, causing them to invade residential areas and attack
people. Planting trees to create forests and simply planting more trees in residential
areas will help animals have more places to live, birds can roost and nest... helping to
reduce extinction and improve the balance of the biological system. study as well as
help people reduce disturbance due to the impact of animal migration to the streets.
