1 CONNECTIONS
The reading key is made up of digits or letters, whose combinations allow all the connections to be
defined.
Letter-based definition
Ø A, B following the digits for multiple main connections
Ø X, Y before the digits, for supplementary connections
3 SPLITTER
Distribution block with 6 connection outlets, suitable for centralizing the air drawings.
Technical features:
1
DL 8171
Simple stem double acting cylinder with magnetic piston for end of stroke driving of externally
mounted reed relays.
Complete of unidirectional flow regulator for speed regulation, with manual control of the knurled
knob.
Technical features:
NOTE
The flow regulator ensures the full passage both at the
relief and at the supply when the regulation screw if fully
open.

5 MAGNETIC SENSOR
Reed kind switch, mounted on the external jacket of the cylinder, with foil contacts in insulated
bulb. When the piston approaches, the contacts close the circuit: the switching is signalled by a
LED turning on.

Technical features:
NOTE
Always connect the relay in series to the load. When a d.c.
power supply is used, the polarities must be respected (red
terminal connected to the positive pole).

Control 10: The pressure connection is closed due to the effect of the reset spring when the
control connection 12 isn't under signal.
Control 12: The utilization connection 2 is connected to the supply connection 1 when the control
connection 12 is under signal.
The electric control signal is connected to the solenoid that, by exploiting the
coercitive magnetic force, moves the shutter so that the way is opened.
The control signal is held as long as the solenoid is kept under voltage.
Pneumatic features
Technical features:
Ø Voltage : 24 V Ac.
Ø Absorbed power : 5W
Ø Control signalling LED

Control 14: The utilization connection 4 is connected to the supply connection 1, due to the effect
of the reset spring, when the control connection 12 isn't under signal.
Control 12: The utilization connection 2 is connected to the supply connection 1 when the control
connection 12 is under signal.
The driving operates on the small piston which moves the distributor slide valve.
This is held in this position as long as the signal is present.
Technical features:
8 DISTRIBUIDOR BIESTABLE
The valve is switched by the alternating of the control signals 12 and 14 and is held in its position
even when the signal is off, until an opposite control signal is connected.

9 ELECTROPNEUMATIC VALVE
Main
valve
Pilot
valve
The air required for driving is normally derived from the inlet of the main valve (self supply), while
the control signal is obviously of electric nature on the coil of the pilot valve.
When the two valves are mounted and integrated in a more rational single design, they are
schematized with a single symbol, which synthesizes the driving section.

When a 2/2 single-shot electrovalve and a 5/2 single-shot distributor are used, a 5/2 single-shot
electropneumatic valve is obtained.

10 CONNECTORS
The pipe connectors ensure a fast and simple assembly and a simple disassembly, which allows the
different components to be recovered.
a) Assembly: Make sure that the pipe is adequately cut at right angle.
Insert and push the pipe in the ring nut until it is seated in the sealing ring,
then it pull back.
b) Disassembly: Fully push the pipe into the connector and, while keeping the locking ring nut
pressed, extract the pipe.
