EXERCISE- subcategory of physical activity.

OCCUPATIONAL- These are work related activities such as climbing the stairs or lifting object.

DOMESTIC-These are activities done at home such as household chores.

TRANSPORTATIONAL-These are activities for travelling or for commuting.

AEROBIC ACTIVTY- that benefits your heart and lungs the most. It is also called endurance activity.

LIGHT INTENSITY- These are common daily activities. Does not require much effort.

MODERAYE INTENSITY- It make your heart, lungs, and muscles work harder that light intensity activities do.

VIGOROUS INTENSITY- It make your heart, lungs, and muscle work harder.

MUSCLE STRENGTHENING ACTIVITIES- These exercises consist of activities where you move your body, a weight, or

STRETCHING- It is a form of exercise that targets muscles by elongating them to their fullest length. Stretching is often a
neglected portion of many individualized exercise programs.

II. LESSON 2: ENERGY
ENERGY- It is the ability to perform work or put mass into motion.

ATP /ADENOSINE TRIPHOSPHATE- A molecule in our body that serve as the “energy currency” of the body.

PHOSPHAGEN SYSTEM- this system is the fastest way of acquiring energy to muscle.

GLYCOLYTIC ENERGY SYSTEM- This system is the second fastest way of obtaining energy to keep the muscle
contracting.

LACTIC ACID- creates a burning feeling as your body produces the acid- which in effect is a fuel source.

OXIDATIVE SYSTEM- the primary source of ATP at rest and during low-intensity activities, uses primarily
carbohydrates and fats as substrates.
