Title – The effects of fertilizer on lettuce production

Problem Statement – The use of synthetic fertilizer increases crop yield.

However, its effects on the growth of lettuce crops are unknown at the Princess
Margaret School.

Aim – To determine the effects of fertilizer on lettuce production.

Hypothesis – The use of fertilizers will enhance the plants growth

Experimental Design

Kickstarter (12:48:8) was applied to the lettuce for the first three (3) weeks via foliar application,
followed by Urea application via row placement from weeks 4-6. The fertilizers were solely administered
to the treatment bed.
