Background & Problem Statement

• Most of the accidents happens due to drowsiness and alcohol consumption.

• Nowadays the driver safety in the car is one of the most wanted system to avoid accidents.
• The objective of the project is to ensure the safety system.

 Solution
• Our model represents a way of developing an interface to detect driver drowsiness.
• Eye blinks of the driver are continuously monitored to detect if he is sleepy. If the driver’s eyes remains closed for eg:
more than 3 seconds then it is an indication that he is drowsy.
• When a drunk person who is driving breathes near the alcohol sensor it detects the ethanol in his breathe and gives an
alert.

 Innovation

• Existing models only detects the drowsiness by the alarm system. But our model will detect the drowsiness and alerts
the driver.

• Using the sensors it also detects whether the driver has consumed alcohol or not.
• If the driver is drowsy, it turns on the power window and also the vibrator actuates automatically.
• As we know when there is more suspension there will be very less possibility of the driver to feel sleepy but when there
will be a smooth road like on Highways or NH roads the possibility of the driver to feel sleepy is very high.

• Here we are going to fix 2 reflectors at the two ends of the suspension ring and we are going to fix an ultrasonic sensor
that calculates the distance between 2 obstacles.
• The ultrasonic sensor that is fixed to one of the reflectors measures the distance between the 2 reflectors.
• If the distance between the two reflectors is less than a particular distance then it sends the signal to the sensors.
