I am writing to highly recommend Jesus Velazquez, a senior at El Capitan High School, for
admission and/or scholarship consideration. I have had the pleasure of knowing Jesus for the past
four years. I have come to know Jesus Velazquez as a dedicated and hardworking individual.

Despite his GPA of 2.66, Jesus has consistently demonstrated an eagerness to learn and has
shown remarkable improvements in his academic performance. Jesus’ friendly and approachable
demeanor has made him a valuable asset in the classroom, fostering a positive learning
environment for his peers.

Jesus's career goal of becoming an auto technician at Merced College is a testament to his
determination and focused ambition. I have no doubt that with his strong work ethic and passion
for the field, Jesus will excel in his chosen career path. Additionally, his long-term goal of
earning an associate's degree from Merced College underscores his commitment to personal and
academic growth.

Beyond academics, Jesus is also actively involved in extracurricular activities. His love for
soccer and talent in playing the guitar showcase his well-rounded and diverse interests.

Having lived in Utah, Arizona, Sinaloa Mexico, and Baja California, Jesus brings a unique
perspective and a rich cultural background to the academic setting. His diverse experiences have
undoubtedly shaped him into a resilient and adaptable individual, capable of thriving in new
environments.
