• Carries 10% weightage towards the final evaluation.

Statement:
Quantify the water budget for the reservoir (of your own choice) and Plot graphical representation
between Inflow and Outflow, Precipitation and Evaporation data for the months of September and
October 2018.

Constraints:

1. Analyze the Inflow and Outflow data collected from Reservoir.

2. Use Gridded data set of precipitation (GPCC or CRU) and that of Observed data by Pakistan
Meteorological Department, Compare both data sets for preparation of water budget.
3. Analyze and convert Evaporation data to volumetric units for equation.
4. Quantify water budget for the selected reservoir using above data in tabular form for each ten
days.
5. Prepare Graphs between Inflow and Outflow, Precipitation and Evaporation data using
Microsoft Excel or any other statistical tool.
6. Prepare the Project report of 15 to 20 pages which must include Title Page, Table of Content,
List of Figures, List of Tables, List of Graphs, Abbreviations, Introduction to Dam and its
technical details, Data Collection including Screenshots and links of Websites used for data
downloading, Methodology of working, Result and Discussion for the activities mentioned
above and reference if any literature, formula, book or internet source is utilized.
