Objectives At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. locate landmasses and bodies of water that surrounds the Philippines;


b. Explain how the location of the Philippines affects the climate, weather and seasons
of the Philippines and
c. Develop an appreciation for the diverse geographical features of the Philippines,
including its islands, mountains, and coastal areas.

LANDMASS
- A landmass, is a large region or area of
land that is in one piece and not broken
up by oceans. The term is often used to
refer to lands surrounded by an ocean or
sea, such as a continent or a large island.

BODIES OF WATER
- A body of water or waterbody (often
water body) is any significant
accumulation of water on the surface of
Earth or another planet. The term most
often refers to oceans, seas, and lakes.

northern part of the Philippines
- Malaysia and Indonesia in the south
- Vietnam in the west

To sum it up the teacher will emphasize that those


are the bodies of water and landmasses that
surround the Philippines. These bodies of water and
landmasses are important in locating the
Philippines. its location has something to do with
the natural resources that can be found in it. In our
next lesson, we are going to explore these natural
resources.
