1. DESCRIPTION OF THE REFLECTIVE LEARNING PORTFOLIO TASK

During your theory experience in the classroom for the subject APPLIED GASTRONOMIC
MANAGEMENT, you experienced a range of activities, project, design and group work as part
of your development. It is a subject which requires problem solving, divergent thinking,
communication and teamwork to succeed.
This short reflective assignment requires you to reflect on the experience paying specific
attention to the individual nature of the subject and how you have applied your practical
knowledge within the theoretical framework. What did you learned within this class, which
challenges did you face and what will be the use of learning kitchen design in the future? You
are required to write a maximum of one (1) page assignment based purely on your own
experiences and thoughts. This means that the assignment will be written in the first-person
using words such as ‘I’, ‘me’, ‘you’, and ‘us’. All of the content will be based on your own
experience and interpretations.

To answer the questions, you will need to take some time before you write to reflect and
remember both your positive and negative experiences throughout the semester. To help you to
be able to complete the assessment efficiently we recommend you add in appendix the different
activities, drawing realised in the classes throughout the semester to assist when writing your
reflections.

2. Format:

Any type of computerized format is permitted for you to hand in your assignment. You may
submit a word processed 1 page document, a PowerPoint presentation, short video or audio of
