Subject: Legal Notice under Section 138, Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
Under the directives and authority of my client, Smt. Manimala Lokesh,@ Roopa, wife
of Mr. H S Lokesh, age 34, who resides at No. 247, Hoodi Village, K R Puram Hobli,
Bangalore East Taluk, I hereby serve you the following notice.
Kindly be advised that my client, is the grand-daughter of Sri.H.V.Venkatappa Reddy
and the 1/12th owner of the ancestral property Sy.No.34/4 of Junnasandra Village,
Varthur Hobli, Bengaluru East Taluk, which is valued at Rs.30.00 lakhs. You had
intended to purchase this property under the company name M/s.Shalini Resorts and
Hotels Ltd.
You have issued three cheque, two of which were for Rs.5.00 lakhs each, and one for
Rs.20.00 lakhs on 26.10.2005, which my client presented to the M.G. Road Branch of
Dhanalakshmi Bank Limited for encashment. The bank returned the same stating "funds
insufficient."
You were duly informed by my client regarding the fact that all three cheque had failed
to be discharged. However, she received no response from your end. Due to the
aforementioned circumstances, I hereby request that the due sum of Rs.30.00 lakhs be
repaid to my client within 15 days of receiving this notice along with the additional
payment of Rs. 10,000 towards legal fees bared by my client.
In the event that this does not occur, I will file a criminal case against you in the
appropriate forum, within 30 days of receiving this notice, as per my client's
instructions.
