Reflection

Throughout our time in NSTP 1, we've had a really great experience. It was awesome because we got to
see how what we learned in class could actually make a difference in real life. Doing simple stuff like
community service is something that inspire us students to do more.

So from what I’ve learned (NSTP) or the National Service Training Program or also know as Republic Act
9163, This program aimed to enhance civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by
developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any of its three (3) program
components, specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the. General welfare.
NSTP has three components the Literacy Training Service refers to the program component designed to
train the students to teach literacy and numeracy skills to school children, out-of-school youth and other
segments of society in need of their services. The second one is the Reserve Officer’s Training Corps.
designed to provide military training to motivate, train organize and mobilize them for national defense
preparedness. The last but not the least the Civic Welfare Training Service it refers to the program
component or activities contributory to the general welfare and the betterment of life for the members
of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially those devoted to improving health,
education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social
welfare services. Our course which is Diploma in Information Technology, Supposedly our focus is one of
the components of NSTP and that is the (CWTS) or the Civic Welfare Training Service however, our
instructor have decided to let us to experience the three components of NSTP. He told us to make a
group and decide what components to choose and make a video out of it and so we did and it was fun.
After that he also let experience the basic ROTC training through he’s trusted criminology interns.

In addition, the purpose of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) isn't just something we do
because we have to, it's about understanding the influence we have to create positive change in society.
It's about recognizing our ability to make a difference and taking action to contribute to the betterment
of our communities and the world around us.

Furthermore, the National Service Training Program, is really important because it helps us students to
become good citizens and care about our country. It teaches us to work together, help others, and be
ready for emergencies like natural disasters. By doing community service and learning about important
issues, we students also gain skills and experiences that can help us in our future jobs. Overall, NSTP
helps us grow personally, learn important values, and get ready to make a positive difference in their
communities and their country.

In conclusion, our overall journey in NSTP one was not entirely focusing on one components but rather
make us experience all of them to make us understand why it is important for us students to learn and
be able to give our service to the community because this does not only mean you're just helping but
moreover it also show patriotism or your love and care for the country by showing them that you can be
able to contribute something as a students and also apply those learnings in our future endeavors.
