1). Materials cost

i). Granite Quantity

Let’s Consider,

Room Size – 10′ x 10′

a). Flooring Granite Quantity

Total Granite Flooring Area – 10′(L) x 10′(W) = 100Sqft

b). Skirting Granite Quantity

Skirting Total length – 10′ + 10′ + 10′ + 10′ = 40Rft

Consider Skirting Height – 4” or 0.33′ after converting inch to feet (1

feet = 12inches)

Total Skirting Area – 40 x 0.33 = 13.33 or Approx. 14 Sqft

c). Border Patti Granite Quantity

Border Total length – 8′ + 8′ + 8′ + 8′ = 32Rft

Consider Border Width- 4” or 0.33′ after converting inch to feet (1

foot = 12inches)

Total Border Area – 32 x 0.33 = 10.66 or Approx. 11 Sqft

Total Granite Quantity –

Flooring quantity + Skirting Quantity + Border Quantity

=100 + 14 + 11 = 125Sqft

When installing granite flooring, there will be some amount

of wastage. This can occur during the cutting and installation
process, and it’s important to factor this into your cost estimates.

Consider 10% Wastage = 125 x 10% = 12.5Sqft

Total Granite Quantity Required – 125 + 12.5 = 137.5 or approx. 138

Granite Market Basic Rate – Rs.100 to 150/-Sqft

Consider Granite Average Rate – Rs.130/-Sqft

Total Cost of Granite Materials – Total Granite Quantity x Rate

Cement-sand mortar Qty (1:4) of 25mm thickness is required upon

which granite slab will be laid.

Average Market Rate of Cement – Rs.420/- Bag

Total Cost of Cement – 420 x 4 = Rs.1680/-

b). Sand Quantity

Sand Quantity Required – 30Cft

Average Market Rate of Sand – Rs.50 to 60/- Cft

Consider Maximum Rate – Rs.60/- Cft

Total Cost of Sand – 30 x 60 = Rs.1800/-

Total Cost of Granite Materials – Granite Cost + Cement Cost +
Sand Cost
