lungs

Left Atrium--1 of the 4 parts of chamber of the- receives oxygenated blood from lungs

and empties it to the left ventricle

Right Atrium-1 of the 4 parts of chamber of the- receives low oxygenated blood from

the body and empties it to the right ventricle

Aortic Valve--1 of the 4 heart valves- last one to meet the oxygenated blood before it

leaves to the body from the heart

Mitral Valve-regulates blood flow from left atrium and left ventricle. Heart’s main

pumping chamber

Left Pulmonary Veins-drain oxygenated blood from the left lung to the left atrium of the

heart. They sit behind the aorta.

Superior Vena Cava- carries blood from the head, neck, chest, and arms

Inferior Vena Cava-carries blood from feet, legs, and organs in the abdomen and pelvis

Pulmonary Artery-carry low oxygenated blood from the right side of your heart to the

lungs

Pulmonic Valve-controls blood flow in the heart; delivers blood to the lungs
