2- Recognizing the correlation between the first and second parts of the structure.
3- Comprehending the cause-and-effect relationship expressed by "The...the" construction.
4- Practicing forming sentences using this structure to express relationships between two variables or conditions.

Revision: The...the Comparatives


1. Lead-In (3-5 minutes):
I am going to start the lesson with the same video clip to highlight the rule and let the students watch and answer the question.
How does the structure of "The...the" work?
2-Clarifying and highlighting the structure (7-10 minutes)
I am going to show a simple sentence to elicite the grammar name of each word from the students.Then, I am going to show the rule
after eliciting it from the students.
3-controlled practice (7-10 minutes)
Student’s book page (145) ex C.
The students will be given some prompts to make double comparative sentences:

If there is available time, the students are going to write at least three sentences using The...the Comparatives
