A RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF DENGUE AND CHIKUNGUNYA

MOSQUITOES AT GREENWATER VILLAGE BARANGAY.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council is continually promoting dengue and chikungunya awareness to
avoid the prevalence of illness caused by dengue and chikungunya mosquitoes in the community;

WHEREAS, constituents are constantly reminded of the search and destroy all possible breeding sites
by doing the following:
1. Change the water in flower vases once a week.
2. Clean roof gutters regularly.
3. Dispose used tires properly or fill up these with soil.
4. Turn upside down all tin cans and bottles which can accumulate water.
5. Tightly cover drums and other water containers.
6. Dispose garbage properly.

WHEREAS, constituents are also reminded to avoid mosquito bites by using long sleeved shirts and
long pants as well as the use of protective screens for doors and windows;

WHEREAS, Barangay officials intensifies the conduct of monthly clean up drive so to maintain
cleanliness of surroundings especially creeks/canals/stream of waters.

NOWTHEREFORE on motion on motion of Kagawad Elvette Adriano, Committee Chair on Health and
seconded by all members;

RESOLVE AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to promote the prevention and control of dengue and
chikungunya mosquitoes at Greenwater Village Barangay.

RESOLVE FURTHER that copies of this resolution be furnished to concern agencies and offices for
their information and appropriate action.
