JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the chief executive officer, the Assistant Credit Analyst will be responsible of credit appraisal, credit
underwriting, industry reports and manage clients’ relations with view to ensure quality underwriting portfolio and
business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Management ❖ Turnover declarations: send reminders to the clients to forward quarterly
(20%) statement to be used in reconciliations.
❖ Ensure the clients’ accounts are debited in time and timely payments of premiums.
❖ Ensure timely generation of in-depth credit reports and client updates.
Other duties assigned Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
⧫ Education:
A masters or bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance, Insurance, Economics, Business Administration or
related area and Professional qualifications in insurance such as CII, CPAK or CFA is an added advantage.
⧫ Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in analytical or portfolio management in the finance industry.
Candidates with similar experience in related industries that include academic research , brokerage , trade finance,
mathematics and or STEM are welcomed to apply.
⧫ Competencies
1.Deep knowledge of finance and credit analysis impacting finance industry including working with IFRS and Basel
regulations. Strong credit background, with technical competence and analytical ability in the finance sector.
2.Teamwork skills and ability to work with a diverse team of professional, clients, partners, and stakeholders in our
markets.
3.Great communicator with detailed oratory, written and presentation skills.
4.Organizational awareness and differential ability to gain awareness across SME as well as complex organizational
structure and products.
5.Analytical. Able to undertake complex analysis and provide evidence-based decision-making reports.
