What is your major? The role of your major?

My major is translation, and I opt to becoming a translator, which is a highly value job that
any English learners can achieve, furthermore, some said that studying or training for this job
is as hard as climbing on a pyramid, which require an enormous knowledge as the
foundation, and can be slipper, easy to fall off as the time flows. Furthermore, the rapid
improvement of AI at the moment and near future can fully replace laborers who work in this
position. Equipment such as the collar which can help translate language to another can
appear within the next decade while the existence of instant translate earphones is the rock
solid evidence.

What happens when people learn exactly what they like?

Individuals who follow their chosen major can maintain their primal motivations and passion
toward it. Furthermore, they can expand their previous experience which they had practiced
early. In many circumstances, people who are keen on their chosen path can achieve lots of
positive results, prevent boredom and stress.

What are your plans in the next 5 years? Why?

For my next 5 years, I will complete my translation major first, then shift to the educational
field. To some extent, I won’t start over again but expand my major by taking on courses that
enrich me with the teaching methods. If possible, I want to travel to the US and stay there for
a couple of months within the time limit to practice my speaking ascent, furthermore
enhancing my background as my second profession. As mentioned, the translation field could
be put in extinction, with the future sight of my former teacher, he wisely advised me to shift
to becoming a teacher since I have my temporary job as a TA.

Why don’t you go to work and focus on studying?

Actually, I’m working as a TA while studying for 2 years while studying college for 4 years,
furthermore for the first 2 years, I have already applied for various jobs that involved FnB,
delivery and part time labor. But if I could go back in time, I would not have worked so
much. Those mentioned works that I took significantly delay my study progress, furthermore
the covid hit me yet global society hard. With the permanent reduction in memory and
distraction while studying online, I have a dreadful result.
