Campbell Shipping Company Ltd. is
committed to assisting the growth and
development of Bahamian seafar-
ers. This is a unique opportunity for a
career on the high seas on worldwide
trading cargo vessels and an oppor-
tunity to gain International Certifica-
tion as Deck Officers or Engineers.
The Company is proud to sponsor a
selection of candidates from the LJM
Maritime Academy to pursue a career
in maritime studies. The programme
provides selected cadets with assis-
tance on berth placements as well as
assistance with tuition if required.
For candidates who are selected to
participate and obtain sponsorship,
Campbell provides sponsorship in a
number of ways including:
Sponsorship
• Tuition fees of $12,000.00 per year
(Year1 and Year 2). This amount is
paid directly to LJM Maritime Acad-
emy.
• A berth on board a Campbell vessel
which would allow the cadet to obtain
sea-time for certification. Sponsor-
ship up to $12,000.00 includes costs
associated with the berth including
travel and provides the cadet with a
stipend while on board.
• For Campbell sponsored cadets,
Campbell will pay for berthing of two
(2) nine-month cycles totaling up to
18 months at sea experience.
Tuition Advance
Campbell recognizes that the cost of
education is significant. To enable
our sponsored cadets to meet the
costs of education Campbell offers a
tuition advance.
Opportunities and scholarship grant
applications will be opened to stu-
dents who have successfully regis-
tered to attend the Academy.
