SOMATOTYPES.

Ectomorph
Characterised by their thin arms, legs, waists, wrists and ankles. They
generally have low muscle mass and find it very hard to put on muscle.
When they do gain weight, they tend to put it on their stomach and
waist while retaining their thin appendages. Ectomorphs have a faster
metabolism which assists them to appear to eat whatever they want
without gaining size; however without exercise they can turn out to be
the classic overweight skinny person. They are generally good at
endurance sports. Some examples of Ectomorphs would be Gwyneth
Paltrow and Brad Pitt.

Mesomorph
The Mesomorph is ‘blessed’ with a natural athletic build. They are
naturally muscular with a square shape of pronounced chest, large
arms, thighs and calves. While active and are naturally disposed to
exercise, they easily gain weight around the stomach, buttocks, hips
and upper back. Female Mesomorphs have the classic hourglass shape
with wider shoulders and hips while retaining a narrow waist. Some
examples of Mesomorph would be Venus Williams and Mark Wahlberg

Endomorph
Endomorphs are curvaceous with short necks, thick waists, calves, and
ankles. Endomorphs have the most difficulty losing weight and they can
gain it quite easily due to a ‘sluggish’ metabolism.
Good news with Endomorphs is that they can develop awesome
physiques and endomorph women (when in shape) are often thought of
as voluptuous and sensual because they go in at the waist, have large
rounded breasts and have womanly curves in all the right places. Some
examples of Endomorph would be Russell Crowe and Carnie Wilson.
