There are two basic types of projectile

 Horizontally fired projectile
 Projectile launched at an angle

HORIZONTALLY FIRED PROJECTILE

- The horizontal launch of a projectile is when it is thrown parallel to the

horizon, so it moves with a horizontal takeoff speed only under the
influence of its weight.

- it means that when a

projectile is launched
horizontally, it is thrown
parallel to the ground,
moving solely under the
influence of gravity with a
horizontal initial velocity

PROJECTILE LAUNCHED AT AN ANGLE

- Angle-launched projectiles are objects projected at an angle to the

horizontal.

- Angle-launched
projectiles are objects
thrown at an angle
instead of straight up or
down.

-One of the key components of projectile motion and the trajectory that it
follows is the initial launch angle. This angle can be anywhere from 0 to
90 degrees. The angle at which the object is launched dictates the
range, height, and time of flight it will experience while in projectile
motion.

The projectiles' different velocities can be described as the x (horizontal)

and y (vertical) components. Each of these components makes up a
pathway called a parabolic path.
