Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
Students will describe their own daily routine in an organized and coherent manner.

Students will understand and deduce the others’ daily routine through subtle and implicative means very well.

Students will describe an unusual, out-of-routine day that they have experienced properly.

Instructional Materials & Media [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
A presentation made via Prezi will be used to demonstrate three key examples about the subject.
Learning-Teaching Methods [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
Presentation, Personal Model, Cooperative Learning
Teaching Activities [ASSURE (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials and Require Learner Participation)]
A speaking activity with three phases using a two-part text, focused on pair talks and telling their own routines.
Individual Learning Activities The first two texts will be individually completed.
By the students listening to the teacher and attempting to
answer when the teacher prompts them

Group Learning Activities The last text will be a group activity since the class will be
split into 4 groups and they will compete against each other.

Summary
This lesson overall will be a reading/speaking session about the first topic (Describing daily Routines)

Measurement & Evaluation

Write the measurement and evaluation methods you will employ in that lesson.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for Individual The individual learning will be tested by the homework given at
Performance the end of the lesson and the quiz at the end of the week
Measurement & Assessment Activities for Group The teacher will take notes during the students’ game recording
Performance any problems that the groups maybe having with the content.

Homework (optional) The homework will be another routine this time a little more

end of the lesson.

Explanation

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
To protect the lesson flow during the grouping process the known troublemakers will be split into different groups to avoid
distractions that they might cause if they are together if the class is not interested in the game a reward maybe promised
to the winning group (treats or possibly being excused of the homework [since they were the best group at this topic]and
their measurements will still be taken during the game by the teacher and during the quiz at the end of the week) <- FIX
THIS!!!

Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
Students will talk about their abilities and understand what others can or cannot do correctly and efficiently.

Students will develop their speaking and listening skills greatly.

Instructional Materials & Media [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
Standard Coursebook, Powtoon Video, Handout Paper with Questions.
Learning-Teaching Methods [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
Presentation, Class Discussion, Cooperative Learning
Teaching Activities [ASSURE (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials and Require Learner Participation)]
The class will start with the teacher overseeing the students who will read the relevant passages from the coursebook.
Then, students will watch the Prezi presentation and ask the teacher any questions they have about it to the teacher.

After that, students will be split into groups of 3/4 and asked to discuss and memorize abilities of their group members,
then a student from each group will be asked about the abilities of their group members collectively.

Towards the end of the lesson, students will be given a quick assessment consisting of small questions regarding this
subject, which will be answered and checked in the same lesson.

Individual Learning Activities The initial discussion after the video and the handout.

Group Learning Activities The group discussion mentioned above.

Summary
This lesson has an emphasis on speaking and students expressing themselves, it covers the second part of the unit.
(Talking about abilities.)
Measurement & Evaluation
Students should be evaluated by their understanding of the subject, their participation and their speaking skills during the
lesson. At the end of the week, students will have an exam on the entire unit which will be the main metric of evaluation.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for Individual Individual performance will be measured by the students’
Performance speaking skills and understanding of the subject during the
lesson. They will also be evaluated via an exam at the end of the
week.

Measurement & Assessment Activities for Group Group performance will be measured by how well students
Performance cooperate with group members and how they apply their
knowledge when talking about abilities of other people.
Homework (optional) A handout similar to the one to be used towards the end of class
Explanation
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
The general flow of the lesson will aim to encourage student participation, my worry is that in the individual speaking
exercise after the video students might feel hesitant to participate, if this happens, the teacher is encouraged improvise by
talking about their own abilities first in a lighthearted manner and then selecting students to talk about their own. If any
technical problems arise such as the Powtoon video not working or a problem with the projector or computer, the teacher
should change classes if applicable, if not they can write the contents of the video on the board.

Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]

Speaking
Students will describe the frequency of activities.

Listening
Students will deduce the frequency of the activities of others.

Instructional Materials & Media [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
Infographic, Group Discussion, Cooperative Learning

Learning-Teaching Methods [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]

A combination of two methods, Presentation and Direct Method, will be used to teach this unit. This will allow a more
natural and visually stimulating learning experience, which is especially beneficial for younger students.
Teaching Activities [ASSURE (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials and Require Learner Participation)]

Individual Learning Activities Reading the Infographic and Learning Frequency Adverbs,
Telling One’s Own Activities and Their Frequencies. Quiz at
the end of third week.
Group Learning Activities Talking About the Frequencies of Each Other’s Activities

Summary
The teacher will show an infographic on the subject which will teach basic frequency adverbs (usually, rarely, never, etc.)
and their correct forms.

Once students are done with reading the infographic and memorizing these adverbs, the teacher will do a speaking-based
activity where students will be asked to give three daily life activities that they perform on different frequencies. (always,
sometimes, never) Finally, they will be asked to talk about the frequency of the activities that other students shared.

Measurement & Evaluation

Write the measurement and evaluation methods you will employ in that lesson.

Measurement & Assessment Activities for Individual The teacher will ask vocal questions in the classroom and take
Performance general answers, then reveal the correct one.
Some questions about this subject will also be included in the
general quiz.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for Group The collective outcome of group work will be measured
Performance according to three main critical aspects: Accuracy, Fluency and
Organization.

Homework (optional) Students will be asked to write about their own experiences to
give ten examples of their daily routine and their frequency.

Explanation
We will follow a more traditional approach.
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
While the general plan involves the usage of technical materials, in case of any misfortune, teachers can take the initiative
and make students speak about their own routines and ask them to describe frequencies of these. This will allow the class
to be still as effective and participative as the previous plan.
