4 If you are the teacher, what possible learning principle(s) and strategy(ies) would you apply to elicit meaningful
learning?
8
If I were the teacher, the possible learning principle/s or strategy/ies that I would apply to elicit
meaningful learning are first, enhancing the atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration so that the learners
could collectively share their insights and learn from their peers. Second, providing activities that considers the
individual differences of the learners according to their learning styles and multiple intelligences. Lastly, making
strategies that can increase the motivation of the learners by making clear of my objectives; engaging my
students in self-assessment; practicing criterion-referenced assessment rather than norm-referenced
assessment; inspiring my students to have mastery focus rather than performance focus; and encouraging them
to have “growth mindset”.

Reflect

1. Among the principles of learning, which one is the most important for you? Substantiate your answer.

For me to become an effective teacher you need all these principles of learning to serve total knowledge and
be able to give the best learning experience for my students. That's why I need all of them and not just one
principle. For each principle we have to incorporate necessary teaching techniques to ensure active
participation, collaboration and lastly the learning environment that is appropriate for the learner's.

2. What insight did you learn from the class activities that you have observed?
We've learned that we should maintain a positive approach eventhough in distance learning. Kepp learners
engaged in every activity and make sure that all your learners can actively participate in and gain
knowledge. We must consider the relevance of the activity to your topic or lesson. We must also
contemplate our learner's diversity when it comes to their learning capabilities.
