TAJUK KAJIAN: The use of Whiteboard.Fi in teaching English vocabulary to year 2 pupils

1.0 Reflections of previous teaching and learning process

Teaching in the pandemic situation has make me altered my teaching and learning process (Pdpc).
Having to teach online widened my perspectives in experimenting with many ways and techniques in
order to teach effectively. From my experience using Google Meet as a medium of teaching, I
noticed that it is difficult to evaluate pupils’ understanding of the lesson especially during online
class (face-to-face). It is challenging to assess many pupils at one time, let alone to see their writing
task.

I normally asked pupils’ to write their sentences in comment/chat box available in Google Meet.
However, it is time consuming to read all replied from the pupils during the online class. It is also not
practical as I cannot mark pupils’ responds or sentences on the spot.

I do believe every question has an answer. Perhaps by using some apps or ……will help the teachers
to check pupils’ writing. I feel there is an urgency to bring this matter up and therefore I propose the
use of new app….called Whiteboard.fi to be integrated during my online class teaching.

2.0 Focus of the study

Upon the reflections above, ……..The study will focus on checking pupils’ writing (words, phrases and
sentences). The study is fundamental in order to:

 Enable the teachers to easily check pupils’ writing


 Motivate pupils to write in English

 To motivate pupils to write in English during online class


 To make ease teachers burden in marking pupils’ writing
 To improve pupils’ writing in English

4.0 Target Group

The target group is 37 pupils of 2 Blossom who joined the online class.
5.0 Proposed Action
5.1 Overview of the problem

The study is to take place in a school where the teacher is teaching. Teaching online face to
face with the pupils has major blockage___or difficulty. …..difficulty in teaching online, with
pandemic covid 19,pupils and teachers are not all ready to blend technology in teaching and
learning.

Students’ writing scripts demonstrated students’ difficulties in constructing sentences from


the content points given. In addition to that , the students also have problems in writing up proper
elaborations. The writing formula is hoped will enable the students to write. Modul ini dicadangkan
sebagai alternatif kepada kaedah sebelumnya.
