1. Write your thesis statement

"The artifacts and works created by students in school not only showcase their
creativity and skills, but also serve as valuable evidence of their growth,
learning, and personal development throughout their educational journey."

2. Describe your portfolio

-a systematic collection of a student work that represents the experiences
in doing activities, accomplishments, and achievements over a specific
period of time in one or more areas of the curriculum.

3. Explain how it will be prepared

Gather Materials
- For each course, collect any significant papers, projects, presentations,
exams, etc. that demonstrate your skills and knowledge in that subject
area.
Organize the content
- Create a separate section in your portfolio for each course. Arrange the
materials for each course with the most impressive/significant work first.
Write Descriptions
- Write a short paragraph describing each key piece in your portfolio and
explaining its significance. Contextualize what the materials show about
what your learned/gained from each course.
Format Presentation
- Decide on a physical or digital format for your portfolio. Physically, a
binder or file folder for each course. Digitally, create a website, online
document, or slide presentation with different sections.

Check Completeness
- Review your portfolio draft and check that you have included relevant
materials from all key courses. See if there are any gaps where you may
be missing course highlights.
Refine and Finalize
- Make any needed additions/edits. Proofread descriptions, double check
organization, formatting, visual presentation.
Share & Review
- Have professors/classmates view your portfolio and give feedback.
Incorporate suggestions if helpful to improve quality.
Submit/Present Portfolio
- Turn in finished portfolio for class/grading/review purposes. Be prepared
to overview contents in-person if required by professors.
