Fill in the blank: My life is a quest for success in becoming a physical therapist.

What motivates
you? The idea of being able to help others to recuperate from an injury after I complete my
studies is what motivates me . Why? Because I am right now in the process of recuperation and
the feeling of getting recoverate is something that I am willing to be able to do for others, mainly
athletes because I want to focus in that area.

Who are your mentors, both those you know personally and those who inspire you from afar?
My mentors are primarily my Dad and a youtuber called Danna Alquati. My Dad has
taught me that pursuing something that I like would be the start to a brilliant future, where I can
be successful and happy by what I do. And I have learned from Danna her way of expressing her
opinion in a way that stays true to her point of view and the way she faces her problems without
giving up.

What would others say is your biggest asset? What would they say is your biggest flaw?
My biggest asset is being capable of getting out of my zone of comfort when it is necessary
for me to achieve something. And one of my biggest flaws is that sometimes I let the time pass
and I am submitting works/ activities close to the end of the due date.

See the reflection on page 49 (Chapter 5) of Lunsford. Write a short paragraph about yourself in
the style of the example paragraphs on that page. How would you describe yourself and your
feelings at arriving at college?

Barbara Ramirez entered college a little nervous, but excited about a new chapter in her
life. She was born in Laredo, but for most of her life has lived in Nuevo Laredo. It was a
challenge for Barbara to begin her high school studies at United South since she did not know
the language, but as the years go by she is learning more and more. She is ready to face the
challenges that come her way, even if she sometimes fails, failure doesn't mean she has to give
up. She strives to get good grades that will help her get more opportunities in the future. Barbara
hopes that during her time at TAMIU she will be able to learn and grow.
