Description of the Event: The AICTE activity "Study Accessories - Recycle and Reuse" is
an initiative that encourages students to think creatively and find innovative ways to repurpose
discarded materials into functional and useful study accessories. This activity aims to reduce
waste, promote responsible consumption, and enhance resource conservation. Students will be
challenged to work in teams to brainstorm ideas, share resources, and collectively create study
accessories from old and discarded materials.
This activity will provide a platform for practical learning and application of theoretical
concepts related to environmental sustainability and resource management. It will also help
students develop essential skills such as creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and
collaboration. In addition, the activity will raise awareness about the environmental impact of
waste generation and promote responsible waste management practices. Ultimately, the "Study
Accessories - Recycle and Reuse" activity will encourage students to become more responsible

Description of the Event:

Swatch Bharath Activity (Contribution to any national level initiatives of Government of India
(Swatch Bhrath, Skill India Digital India GoGreen
India, Etc....
Swatchh Bharath Abhiyan was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, where
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself wielded broom and cleaned a road. The campaign is India's
biggest ever cleanliness drive and 3 million government employees and schools and colleges
students of India participated in this event
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a cleanliness campaign run by the government of India and initiated by
the Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is also called as the
Clean India Mission or Clean India drive or Swachh Bharat Campaign. This campaign involves
the construction of latrines, promoting sanitation programmes in the rural areas, cleaning streets,
roads and changing the infrastructure of the country to lead the country ahead.
To keep villages clean, solid and liquid waste management will be ensured through gram
panchayats.

Theme/Activity Type: Awareness about Reuse and Recycling of Plastic and to Ban further use
of plastics.
Objectives:
● Raise awareness about the detrimental impact of plastic on ecosystems, emphasizing the
need to reduce plastic usage to protect wildlife and maintain ecological balance.
● Educate the public about the potential health risks associated with plastic use, such as the
release of harmful chemicals, and promote the adoption of plastic-free alternatives for a
healthier society.
● Encourage the reduction of plastic waste by promoting responsible consumption habits,
recycling, and the use of sustainable alternatives to minimize the environmental burden of
plastic disposal.

Description of the Event: Plastic Ban Awareness (Spreading Public Awareness Under Rural
Outreach Programmes): visited shops and homes in the villages and educated them on ban on
plastic and motivated them to stop using plastic and manage waste. Total 51 home and shops were
visited during this drive.
Impact: Reaching out to people is easier when we talk to them individually, this can be fulfilled
by doing door to door visit. Volunteer visited 51 houses and educated people about waste
segregation, management, disposal and ban on plastic.

Theme/Activity Type: Setting of the information imparting club for women leading to
contribution in social and economic issues
Objectives:
● Promoting entrepreneurship among women and providing them with resources and support

● Ensuring access to quality education for women at all levels, from primary to higher

● Raising awareness about nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare measures.

Description of the Event: Women Empowerment (Setting of the information imparting club
for women leading to contribution in social and economic issues): Manasvini is a project started
for the benefit of rural women who do not have the facility and awareness about Menstrual Hygiene
and also women empowerment. We concentrate on spreading awareness on menstrual hygiene,
menstrual health, and also about the usage of sanitary napkins. We also concentrate on providing
sanitary napkins to women of the rural area.
Menstrual hygiene management (MHM) is an essential aspect of hygiene for women and
adolescent girls between menarche and menopause. Despite being an important issue concerning
women and girls in the menstruating age group MHM is often overlooked in post-disaster
responses. Further, there is limited evidence of menstrual hygiene management in humanitarian
settings. We at Avisa aim to educate women about clean and proper menstrual hygiene.

for Compulsory voting awareness drive (Spreading Public Awareness Under Rural Outreach
Programmes) : Voter Education Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation
‘Greater Participation for a Stronger Democracy’
Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program, better known as SVEEP, is the
flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter
awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. Since 2009, we have been working towards

preparing India’s electors and equipping them with basic knowledge related to the electoral
process. The program objective is to do cast compulsory vote on coming election.

Objectives:
● The aim of this activity was to donate textbooks,notebooks,novels,study materials, etc to
underprivileged students across various schools.
● An online Elocution event: carried out on the topic “The power of Literacy in promoting
global peace” and similar topics where we can understand various opinions and facts.
● To understand the importance and power of Literacy.
● To motivate children to go to schools and learn and shape their future.
● Distribution of Books collected to underprivileged students.

The Rotaract Club of BMS Yelahanka organized a philanthropic activity with a dual focus on
promoting literacy and empowering underprivileged students. The central goal was to contribute
essential educational materials, including textbooks, notebooks, novels, and study materials, to
schools with limited resources.
The club initiated an online Elocution event, delving into the profound theme of "The power of

The Rotaract Club of BMS Yelahanka facilitated the collection of books within the campus,
emphasizing the importance of community engagement. Subsequently, the collected books were
distributed to underprivileged students, amplifying the impact of the initiative. The distribution
was coupled with an online elocution, seamlessly blending the realms of education and
communication.
This multifaceted initiative not only contributed tangible educational resources to those in need
but also served as an educational experience for the participants. It illuminated the transformative
power of education and literacy, showcasing how these elements can empower individuals and
communities alike. The activity encapsulated the club's commitment to social responsibility,

impact of the textile industry and the importance of sustainable clothing choices. The campaign
brought students together, creating a sense of unity and purpose as they worked towards a common
goal. Every donated garment carried a piece of someone's life, and the campaign served as a
platform to share those stories.
The campaign created huge impact which includes environmental footprint reduction and
students became more conscious of their clothing choices and embraced sustainable practices. This
project helped in fostering a sense of unity and social responsibility within the college community.
The campaign serves as a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness, when woven
together, can create a tapestry of positive change. It's a testament to the power of students to be
agents of change, leaving a lasting impact on the environment and their communities.
