Introduction

Digital Awareness Program, which was made compulsory by All India Council for
Technical Studies (AICTE) for technical education and to promote development in the
country in a coordinated and integrated manner by the upcoming generation.

As per the program, our program was scheduled from 13 January 2020 to 18
January 2020.Our destination was the village named Kallamundkur and we have managed to
cover all the parts of this village trying to aware the village people about modern
technologies and necessities. We had covered more than 50 houses each day in groups by
taking survey and spreading awareness for the first 2 days and the rest 3 days we shared our
time with school students giving them information about Digital Library and career guidance.
Around 51 students actively participated in this program.

Our program was coordinated by our faculties Mr. Avinash Patil and Mr. Suraj Shet.
We have extreme gratitude to our beloved Head of Department Dr. Ganesh Mogaveer for
helping us complete this event. For the accomplishment of this event, we would be thankful
to our chairman Mr. Rajesh Chouta, our principal Dr. G L Easwara Prasad and the PDO of

Dr. Ganesh Mogaveer, our HOD gave us the brief information regarding the village, the
village people and our behavior towards the village people. We started our journey by bus
no.8 to the village Kallamundkur at 8am. It was a warm place with good bunch of people. We
were instructed to cover each and every house of the area allotted for the respective groups
and make them aware about the various necessities of our country nowadays. It includes
Aadhar card, Passport, CBSE education, EPFO, Pay Income tax, PMAY, Pan card and Bharat

educated people in the village. They almost knew about the technologies we were about to
aware them but then also we completed our work successfully. We also had good

All group students visited the houses by giving them the information on health and hygiene
and digital India awareness pamphlets provided by grama panchayath. Students also visited
the school in kanthavara village to inculcate good habits amongst students related to
cleanliness such as usage of a toilet, washing hands, and other cleanliness habits to internalize
healthy environment. Unclean hands lead to many diseases and therefore the students were
explained about the importance of washing hands.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Paldka village

As per the schedule we planned, we had cleaned most of the places in the village. During the
last days of the activity we travelled some distance and saw a nursery school. Here we started
the work by cleaning in front of nursery school, which is covered by lots of plants and very
large bush of thorny plants. We removed all those plants and cleaned the whole area and as a
result the place was better than before. Around 33 students participated in the program.

Cleaning village roads, Paladka

Next task we had was cleaning the roads in the village. We collected wastes from both sides
of the road about a distance of 5km. On both sides of the road there were a lot of plastic bags,
bottles and other wastes thrown by the people. We had collected all those unwanted things in
plastic bags and cleaned the whole area.

Around 33 students participated in the program. During the task along with collecting waste
from roadside we also cleaned the localities. After completing the task we conducted a
waste sampling test for assessment of quantity and quality of waste generated.

Garbage disposal, Kadandale

We cleaned the place near the matha. In the beginning the surrounding was filled with
garbage and waste. We had cleaned the surroundings and then threw the garbage into
specified place. Later on we started to clean the weeds and unwanted grass and put them
around the trees which in turn became the manure, compost for the trees. After the work we
also campaigned about the need for proper, scientific, and efficient disposal of the waste and
its importance in our daily life. Around 44 students participated in the program.

Cleaning ground, Government school, Paladka

After reaching the village we divided ourselves into groups and visited various places as per
schedule. Each group was given with different work at different places. Our group had visited
the Kadandale School and cleaned the school premises.

The objective of the day was to clear a patch of land, which resided behind the school, from
unwanted plants, which occupied there and grew during the monsoon season. That patch of
land contained loads of weeds (unwanted plants), which we chopped off using sickle.

After cleaning we created awareness about efficient and scientific methods of waste
management among the students. Around 20 students participated in the program.
