Family relations prove to be reliable and stable sources of social support and social
embeddedness in old and very old age, even when relatively little effort is made to keep in
touch or to maintain the relationship. The close family is most often named as a source of
meaningful social contact or social support in old age.
The family relationships play an outstanding role in preparing the new generation for life in
the community. Healthy family relationships are of utmost importance for the old people.
They can feel more comfortable when there is strong bonding among their children and other
members.

infrastructure or by making the citizens of this country empowered (digitally) in the field of
technology.
The main aim of this initiative is to connect rural areas with high-speed internet connectivity
and increase digital literacy. The main objective of the campaign was to make the citizens
digitally literate and also to provide various government services online.
All group students visited the houses by giving them the information on health and hygiene
and digital India awareness pamphlets provided by grama panchayath. Students also visited
the school in kanthavara village to inculcate good habits amongst students related to

As per the schedule we planned, we had cleaned most of the places in the village. During the
last days of the activity we travelled some distance and saw a nursery school. Here we started
the work by cleaning in front of nursery school, which is covered by lots of plants and very
large bush of thorny plants. We removed all those plants and cleaned the whole area and as a
result the place was better than before. Around 33 students participated in the program.

We cleaned the place near the matha. In the beginning the surrounding was filled with
garbage and waste. We had cleaned the surroundings and then threw the garbage into
specified place. Later on we started to clean the weeds and unwanted grass and put them
around the trees which in turn became the manure, compost for the trees. After the work we
also campaigned about the need for proper, scientific, and efficient disposal of the waste and
its importance in our daily life. Around 44 students participated in the program.

The objective of the day was to clear a patch of land, which resided behind the school, from
unwanted plants, which occupied there and grew during the monsoon season. That patch of
land contained loads of weeds (unwanted plants), which we chopped off using sickle.
After cleaning we created awareness about efficient and scientific methods of waste
management among the students. Around 20 students participated in the program.
