 Torrelodones is a municipality located 29 kilometers northwest from Madrid. The town has an interesting artistic
and natural heritage. The economy of Torrelodones is very unbalanced sectorially because it is basically
concentrated in the construction and services sectors and also many of its inhabitants exercise their
professional activity in other municipalities, mainly in the capital. The opening of the Casino Gran Madrid in 1981
was an important milestone in the history of Torrelodones, producing a great economic impact.

MAIN IDEA

Our main idea is to leave the casino as it is and highlight the building that was the
economic influence in torrelodones, making it “TRES C”, that means that stays as a
casino but with a twist to take the taboo of a gambling place and make it more
familiar making a casino, club & circus

MAKE MORE CASINO. MAKE MUCH OF A VIVID CITY.

MAIN IDEA

THE REASON IS TO GIVE MORE IMPORTANCE TO THE CASINO AND FROM THERE
THE PROJECT LAYOUT WAS DEVELOPED, STARTING WITH A DENSITY ENTRANCE

 Based in Torrelodones, this project stems from a study of the conditions existing in

2022. After a careful urban, conceptual and formal analysis of the place, we are

aware of the deficits and potential of the place.

A set of urban planning strategies aimed at optimizing and innovating public services
so as to relate the material infrastructure of cities "with the human, intellectual and
social capital of those who live there"[2] thanks to the widespread use of new
technologies of communication, mobility, the environment and energy efficiency, in
order to improve the quality of life and meet the needs of citizens, businesses and
institutions

"Cities cover approximately 2 percent of the earth's surface, but host 50 percent of the
world's population, represent 75 percent of the energy consumed and 80 percent of the
carbon dioxide emitted. So if we can do something to change our cities, we can really
have an impact on the scale of the entire planet. "
