3. Learn to perform bucking analysis of columns

4. Understand how to design considering tolerances, fits and stresses involved

5. Understand and apply the design procedure to shaft design

6. Understand and apply the design procedures to power screws and fasteners.

7. Understand and apply the design procedures for belts (PO3, PO1)
