GIVE 4 INSIGHTS REGARDING CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES/DIFFERENCES ABOUT GIRLS AND BOYS

AS MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE. (10)

an atmosphere of competition between their roles with girls through their issues of
violence and resistance that intimidate the girls’ capabilities in socializing and
collaborating.
b. Girls are more flexible and tend to excel in demonstrating proficiency in writing and
reading, as well as possessing natural capabilities in expressing their emotions through
the given practice, compared to boys.
c. Society sets a high expectation of decency and delicate behavior in girls, which leads to
instances of harassment, violence, and vulnerability in their egos.
d. Girls face discouragement and limitations when it comes to pursuing their goals and are
given less attention in the classroom or society in general, which created a gap and
comparison in the treatment that boys experienced.
2. BASED ON THE AUTHOR'S RESEARCH, HOW HAS GIRLS' LITERACY EVOLVED IN THE ADVENT OF
DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY. (10)

Technology is a part of culture and has somewhat shaped and influenced the gender roles of
every individual in society. As the growth of computers and technologies evolves, it reinforces
the idea and sense of people that the male species is still dominating the area of these practices
through their degree of literacy and engagement in connecting with these inventions.

Based on the author’s research, girls tend to see engagement in these practices as
relentlessly intimidating and unwelcoming, which disadvantaged them in the areas of school,
the workplace, and society in general. However, as communication takes place in the digital
world, girls are able to engage and get involved in technology with a bit of anxiety and
uncertainty when doing their usual activities with computers, such as reading and writing. After
some years, girls became comfortable and were able to participate in technology-based living
with enthusiasm and confidence.

With the results of the author’s observation, girls seem to be instantly involved in activities
outside their habits and practices, such as engaging in video games and designing webpages,
which became their routine and somehow their source of income.

3. HOW HAVE POP CULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY SHAPED MALE AND FEMALE LITERACY/SKILLS
OVER THE YEARS. (10)

The domination of roles has been part of and has lived with us in all aspects and phases
of our lives, especially in technology. Over the years, the skills of these sexualities have
emphasized their roles in society through the evolution of inventions and involvement in
different trends. From having the literacy of reading and writing, girls became fascinated with a
culture that led them to be interested in their physical appearance, fashion, occupation, and
habits. Being involved with these trends made every girl distinguish fantasy from reality, which
gave them the power to dominate and develop ways to have a critical reflection of their
perspectives and values. While in boys, the effect of violent computer and video games has
never been seen in ages ever since the technologies have evolved, boys were able to reflect the
results of violence and harassment towards the opposite gender. With these, both genders have
developed and mastered a certain skill that allows them to possess’ abilities that help them
create something that influences other people, especially in terms of clothing and music, which
dominate world-wide trends. With pop culture and technology, diversity, equality, and
inclusivity have been agreed upon by both genders, which has resulted in improvements in
education, governance, and resources that help society achieve certain norms and values.
