Abstract- Motorcycle becomes a main option for Malaysian citizen especially student as
transportation to their study place and for complete their daily task. Furthermore, motorcycle in
Malaysia got the highest recorded stealing cases and the most committed index crime so far
due to the lack of security system at motorcycle and carelessness of the users. So, this project
is to address the problem among the student of Politeknik Shah Alam that left behind their
motorcycle keys without conscious. The idea of this project is to develop a key alarm system
based on the IoT concepts to help notify or alarm a student that left behind their motorcycle
key within 20 seconds by using Arduino Nano. The hardware device used are Arduino nano,
limit switch, stabilizer, Wi-Fi esp8266 and 3.7v rechargeable battery. A limit switch is placed
on the motorcycle stand to make the system in on condition if the stand is pull out or the
motorcycle in park condition. After that, stabilizer sensor used to detect the movement of
motorcycle when the user 20 second away with key still on the motorcycle and send a signal
via Wi-Fi to the smartphone. Then, this project is to develop the mobile Application using
Blynk App in the smartphone connect to circuit in keychain and via Wi-Fi . For the software
section, Arduino IDE is used as a platform to program the circuit and develop a mobile App by
using Blynk App. By using this App, the user could view the current location of the
motorcycle and the notification. For the result, this system notify the user 20 second on time
without a delay and have a maximum range distance about 3 meter from motorcycle which
prove that the device have a good security system.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Key Alarm System consist of two part which are hardware and software. For hardware part,
one is set on the motorcycle and another one use at the keychain. There are four component
that have been used which are Arduino Nano, Wi-Fi esp8266, limited switch and stabilizer
sensor. The use of Arduino Nano in this project is to control the input which came from
limited switch, stabilizer sensor and act as microcontroller. A limit switch is placed on the
motorcycle stand to make the system in on condition if the stand is pull out or the motorcycle
in park condition. This product using 3.7 rechargeable battery 400mAh to power up the
keychain component. Stabilizer sensor used to detect the movement of motorcycle when the
user 20 second away with key still on the motorcycle and send a signal via Wi-Fi to the
smartphone. For software part, this product used Blynk App to show the user the current
location of their motorcycle and give the notification when the user away 20 seconds from
the motorcycle. To secure the Apps, the user ID is set as password prevent from other people
to access the Apps. The dimension of this product are small and light suitable for the user to
carry and used the key alarm system at any time.
