It is an attitude of a writer toward a subject or
an audience. Tone is generally conveyed
through the choice of words, or the viewpoint
of a writer on a particular subject.

MOOD
In literature, mood is a literary element that
evokes certain feelings or vibes in readers
through words and descriptions.
Example:
“If Heaven Had A Window and God granted
me a view, Of all the beauty it beholds I’d
only look for you.”
TECHNIQUE
Common techniques relevant to style, or the
language chosen to tell a story, include
metaphors, similes, personification, imagery,
hyperbole, and alliteration.
AUTHOR’S PURPOSE
An author’s purpose is the reason an author
decides to write about a specific topic. Then,
once a topic is selected, the author must
decide whether his purpose for writing is to
inform, persuade, entertain, or explain his
ideas to the reader.
