Dear Madam / Sir,

I, Shaurya Sriram, am hereby expressing my desire for the role of
Sigma House Captain 2020 – 2021.
Earlier, I have been the Prefect of Sigma House during the academic
year 2019 – 2020. This experience has given me insights on how to
maintain equilibrium and order in the squad while being sensitive to all
fellow students on their concerns. I genuinely believe in maintaining
protocol and discipline with the sole purpose of bringing out best efforts
and wholehearted participation to succeed as a team.
Here are a few of the accolades I have received since 2016:

Also, these are a few extra-curricular activities I have participated in:
 I have attended workshops at the Prithvi theatre and continuously
have had participated in school plays.
 I relish creative writing events, choreographing superhero
characters and developing movie scripts
 I have reached the third level in coding and am currently engrossed
in designing websites, besides robotics
Subjects such as Computer Science and English interest me deeply and
I have a natural inclination towards academics. However. I enjoy watching
and reviewing literature and movies too. Drama, script writing and screen
direction have been major topics of my interest. I particularly relish
participating in creative writing events, choreographing superhero
characters, and developing scripts. I enjoy jam sessions and quiz fests as
well as essay writing contests. I also play the guitar to unwind often.
As Prefect, my erstwhile outlook on the role of a leader and Captain
has changed considerably, and I believe, for the better. Last year, I
ardently strived to better the performance of Sigma House, and I do
believe that we have also considerably worked to improve our morale
and spirit. We came from 3rd place in the annual inter-house competitions
to the 2nd place, which indeed came from an immense effort and
dedication from the entire team. Some of my junior classmates too were
ever co-operative and instrumental in this achievement. However, I also
believe that there is still more work to be done. I wish to better myself in
many ways and am ready with renewed vigour to power our way towards
the trophy. This year I am keen to strive to bring the best out of our
Sigma House.
My role in 9th Grade has helped me learn, improve, and understand my
responsibilities as a moderator; a catalyst for change; a mentor; and
above all, a leader. We have won almost all the competitions with
regards to vernaculars and extra-curricular activities. I have had the
privilege to participate in every single one of them. I am an enthusiastic
and experienced MUNner.
I have keenly observed my peers last year and learned so much and am
familiar with most members of Sigma House, their strengths and
weaknesses and I think I know how to extract our collective best results.
This year, I wish to be more helpful in guiding the younger members of
the house, those who seem to have been left behind in the fierce
competition last year.
As a Captain, I hope to bring new levels of co-operation and energy to the
team and would try my best to ensure that every single member of Sigma
House knows their role in helping us claim this trophy.
I believe I do have the strong leadership and social skills required to fulfil
the role efficiently and receive the affirmation as the best Captain to my
house.
