Definition of Lockout Procedure

A lockout procedure is a procedure to put each necessary energy isolating
device in its safe position to prevent the energisation of the equipment, such
as when a maintenance procedure should be carried out.
A lockout is the use of a device, for example, a padlock, to make sure that an
energy isolating device cannot be operated.
An energy isolating device is a mechanical device that physically prevents
transmission or release of energy, such as a power supply disconnector.

on the capacitors before touching. Wait five minutes. Failure to observe this
information will cause death or serious injury.
After the electrical supply disconnecting device is turned off, residual
voltage remains in the capacitor circuits.

Other Supply Systems

Close the supply valves for relevant supply systems, such as air supply,
steam supply and water supply. Follow the Safety Precautions for the
equipment in which the temperature controller is included.
Certain procedures may require supply systems to be on. These exceptions
are clearly stated in the installation instructions.

File
Machine Status Electrical supply disconnecting device in pos I (ON)

Two versions of the standard parameter are released, 3062500-1001 and

3062502-1001.
When delivered, the temperature regulator is set up according to file
3062500-1001.
If the KS 50-1 temperature regulator (90600-6032) is in combination with
adaptor 90600-6033, then use parameter setup 3062502-1001. This setup
applies 24V DC on output 3, to power up the adaptor.
For some machines, for example TBA/19-0400, the parameter setup files are
provided with the program CD for the machine.
For all other machines:
a) Download file 3027751-10XX from PIV, open the ZIP archive, and then

TechPub_2614345_0105 - 04_3031799_01.fm
locate and open the KS 50 Masters.pdf file.
b) Find the correct master file to use.
c) Locate the file in the ZIP archive.
If the regulator performance is unstable, a’self tuning’ of the parameters can
be performed to optimize the PID parameters.
To run the procedure, the power to the heating circuit must be ON.
Note! During the ‘self tuning’ cycle the heat is turned off and an alarm might
occur.

j) If the value of the machine thermocouple deviates by more than ± 1.1 °C
from the value of the calibrated thermocouple, change the machine
thermocouple.
k) When the measurement is complete, let the oven stay switched on and
cool it by setting the temperature value to 0. This cools down the oven
more effectively.

With one or several errors, the extended operating level always starts with
the error list. Signalling an actual entry in the error list (alarm, error) is done
by the Err LED (1) in the display. This is applicable only if at least one
limit value function, the loop alarm or the heating current alarm is activated.
The error signal is displayed until the error is acknowledged, or until its
cause has been eliminated.
For display of the error list, press the ENTER button (2) twice.
