Safety Precautions i Introduction

Safety Precautions
Before starting any work on the equipment, it is compulsory to read the Safety
Precautions chapter in any of the existing manuals of the equipment.

Safety Messages Description

A safety message is always accompanied by a safety alert symbol and a signal
word.

The safety alert symbol is used to alert about potential personal injury hazards. To
avoid hazards, obey all safety messages that follow this symbol.
The following safety alert symbols and signal words are used in this manual to
inform the user of hazards.

Danger indicates an imminently

DANGERI
DANGER hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will result in death or serious
injury.

Warning indicates a potentially

WARNING hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.

Caution indicates a potentially

CAUTION hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or
moderate injury. It may also be used to
alert against unsafe practices.
CAUTION Caution without the safety alert symbol
indicates a potentially hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, may
result in property damage.

Information About this Manual i Introduction

Information About this Manual

The Tetra Pak Group recommends reading all delivered manuals carefully. Make
sure that this manual is available to the personnel responsible for installing the
rebuilding kit onto the machine.

The Update Pages is used for updating the machine’s existing delivered manuals.

How to Use the Update Pages

The Update Pages chapters contain pages used to update the manuals.
Use the content of the Update Pages chapters to update the machine manuals. The
Rebuilding Instructions chapter of the Rebuilding Manual describes how to update
the machine manuals with the content of the Update Pages.

Layout and Numbering

For information about page layout, consult the Introduction chapter of the machine’s
existing Maintenance Manual.
The Update Pages chapters use the chapter designation UP to identify the update
pages in the existing machine manual.
The page number for the pages in the Update Pages chapter has three parts:
• the chapter designation (1)
• the consecutive page number (2) within the Update Pages chapter
• the total number of pages (3) in the Update Pages chapter
