Blog Post #3 Questions:

a) What are your Capstone goals between now and May 1st? Be specific and give details and how you
plan to accomplish it. The more specific your goals, the better the chances you will have of
accomplishing them. My goal between now and may 1st is to finsh the 3rd and finale chapter of my book
and then start to work on putting it in the publishing program. To do this I will use my support blocks to
work on it and get extra gudince and support. I will also use in class work time and time I have on the
weekends to work on it. Once the chapter is finsshed I will turn my attention to getting it published and
use the adults in this building to help me complete this goal. I will again use my time in my support
blocks to get help on how to publish this book succesfuly and learn how the publish program works if I
ever decide to do something like this in in future. Overall I know if I keep using my time well I will have
no problem completeing both of these goals.

b) Which specific elements of your project will you accomplish before the end of the month? Create a
checklist of things you want to finish over the next 2 weeks.
Over the next two weeks I will be working on cover design for my book as well as finshing and
formatting the third and finale chapter. To do this I will follow the schudelue above in order to stay on
task and hand everything in on time. For my finale chapter I still need to pick what poems I want
included and how I want everything to look and be formatted. To do this I will go through the collection
of poems I already have and get feedback and advice from friends and family. Then I will pick the poems
that fit the subject matter of the chapter best and put them in order. Finally when that is done I will
work on the formatting of the chapter by chossing the correct font and size of the text as well as working
on the page design. Once this is finshed I will move on to putting the last few finshing touches to my
cover design for the book. To do this I will use canva and see if any changes are able to be made and
make sure the design is what I want for my book. Overall I know if I get this stuff completed I will ready
to be able to publish my book successfully and present it by the end of may.

c) What strategies will you implement to help you accomplish your goals and stay on task? List the
strategies you will use to keep yourself on track.
To stay on task I plan to follow the schedule I have above and use my spare time in school to work on this
project. For example, I know based on my schedule I will need to finsh my final chapter and the cover
design for my book in order for the book to be published and ready to present at the end of may. To stay
on track with my schedule I will make sure to upoload posts to my evidence and progress page. By
knowing I have to upload post on my website I know I will stay more focused because I will see visually
if I am falling behind. I know if I use these stragies to follow my schdlue I will have my book ready to be
presented by the end of May.

d) Explain how well you have been doing at providing evidence of your progress and learning during
this time?
If you have been on top of posting your progress, what has helped you stay on task? I feel I
have been doing well at keeping up to date on posting to my evidence and progress page because it
helps me stay orgniazed with my project as a whole. For example, sometimes It can be challenging for
me to rember what I need to work on next so having posts on my evidence and progress page helps
greatly. What also helped me stay on task with my posts was knowing I would have weekly check ins on
my capstone project. Knowing that someone elese was going to be looking at my website really pushed
me to stay on task with with keeping my evidence and progress page up to date. I know I will be able to
stay on task with this aspect of my learning if I countiue to follw the schedule and routine I have laid out
now.
If you haven’t been keeping up with your posts, why and more importantly how will you rectify
this?
Remember, you should be posting to your Evidence and Progress Page at least 2 - 3 times per week. If
you haven't, then this is your chance to make that happen over the next few weeks.

e) Post 5 photos of your progress to date, showing your work from the beginning and your progress to
date. Paste them in chronological order and provide a one or two sentence explanation of what the photo
represents.
