DANIEL MANURUNG

BACKGROUND
My name is Daniel Manurung, I was born in Palembang on March 19, 2004. I am
the firstborn child of three siblings. My current status is still a student studying at Sriwijaya
University. I am the son of Mr. Marlon Manurung and Mrs. Romula Sihotang. I started
going to school in 2009 entering kindergarten and in 2010 I entered an elementary school
in Palembang at SD Xaverius 3 Palembang, but when I entered grade 3, I moved my
school to a Methodist 2 elementary school, then I continued my junior high school at
Methodist 2 Kisaran and continued my senior high school at Senior High School 1
kisaran.
CHOOSING ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
The reason I chose animal husbandry is because I have a great interest in animals,
especially livestock and in the Animal Husbandry department have good career
opportunities because the livestock industry is a large and rapidly growing industry and in
recent years, the demand for livestock products such as meat , milk, and eggs continue to
increase. Therefore, I am very interested in majoring in animal husbandry.
UNDERSTANDING OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
The livestock department is a branch of agricultural science that studies the
development, maintenance and management of livestock for the benefit of humans. The
aim of the livestock department is to study all aspects related to livestock, such as how to
choose seeds, nutrition, care, disease, reproduction, and livestock management. More
specifically, the livestock department studies various types of farm animals such as cows,
goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and fish. Animal husbandry students will learn how to
develop and maintain healthy and productive livestock populations, as well as how to
optimize livestock production in the fields of food, health and food safety. Livestock is
also a field of science that studies the science of livestock that can be processed on an
industrial scale. Starting from the procedures for good livestock production, livestock
breeding and management, handling diseases in livestock, regulating the adequacy of
nutrition in livestock feed, managing production results so that they are efficient from
upstream to downstream, and how to process the results so that livestock have added value.
RESEARCH
I am interested in poultry, I want to do research on how to maintain the health of
poultry, how to meet the nutritional needs of poultry and learn about the inheritance of
certain traits in poultry.
