Introduction
Pakistan came into being on August 14, 1947 but had to face a lot of problems in the early days.
Congress did not accept the partition of the sub-continent. They made every possible efforts to
create problems for Pakistan and the British government facilitated them in their conspiracies.
But under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam the Pakistanis were determined to face every
challenge for the protection of their freedom.
Pakistan faced the worst circumstances bravely with exemplary passion of sacrifice and
committeemen.
Unjust division
Unjust division of areas was one of the biggest early problems. According to June 3rd Plan, it
was decided that Bengal and Punjab wil be divided into Muslim and non Muslim

abolished the separate status of these states in 1969. These three states were merged to form
Malakand Division. It was made an administrative part of NWFP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).

Ans. The growth of an economy from backward to advanced economy is known as Economic
Development. It is a process through which such changes are introduced in economy by
adopting and utilizing modern, advanced, capital and human resources as increase the income of
the country.

4. To accelerate the pace of agricultural growth and to increase it all rate of 5% annually.
5. To increase the industrial growth at the rate of 13% annually.

Ans. A provincial constitution was adopted with some modification in Indian Act of 1935until
new constitution was introduced. Federal System was launched in the country. Under Provincial
Constitution, the constituent Assembly that also had the role of Central Parliament was
summoned for its first session.

Ans. Sir Radcliff was an English law expert, was assigned the responsibility of demarcating
boundaries of Pakistan and India. He was influenced and manipulated by Lord Mountbatten,

was the head of state and the Prime Minister was head of Government. The president had
nominal powers. The real powers rested with Prime Minster.

Ans. On March 12, 1949, the Constituent Assembly adopted a resolution moved by Liaquat Ali
Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. It was called as “Objective Resolution” .This
resolution occupied prime importance in the formulation of constitution.

was consisted of 69 members afterwards this number increased to 79.
