1. How did geography affect the trade routes and items traded?
Traders had to use geographic anomalies so they could trade with people from other lands. To cross

these land routes, it was essential that enough water was available for the people and animals to use. -Without

geography to tell where they are they will end up getting lost and not able to trade anything.

2. Elaborate on the process of rainfall which occurs in summer.

During summer, the sun being overhead, there is intense heating of the land and the air above as compared to

the surroundings. The air. on being heated, becomes lighter and rises. ... This process of rising air is called

convection and the type of rainfall which occurs during peak summer is called convectional rainfall.

3. How does geography affect economic activity?

Change in climate or the weather can affect income levels because when climate increases it could also change

the way you feel and how you may react so geography definitely has an effect on the economy

4. What is difference between longitude and latitude?


Latitude and longitude are a system of lines used to describe the location of any place on Earth. Lines of
latitude run in an east-west direction across Earth. Lines of longitude run in a north-south direction.

5. How do plants impact their microclimate?


Trees alter the microclimate of a site. Heat rays are reflected off the surface of leaves. For example: if the

air temperature is 84ºF, the surface temperature could be as high as 108ºF. If the area is planted with trees, the

surface temperature may drop to 88ºF.
