About 5 years ago, something happened that set off a copywriter "super fight".

It all started with what I mistook to be a sales page... but was really a blog post.

On the blog post, there was a section that rankled the hairs on the back of this grizzled, 20+
year veteran copywriter's neck so much I rushed off my next Copy Insiders issue in a bit of a
rage.

Now, when I read this I'd just returned from a nearly 3-week vacation in Italy, where I spent my
days sightseeing, drinking Aperol spritzes, and not doing a lick of work.

Yet I came home to find a solid five figures' worth of royalty checks stuffed into my mailbox (the
same thing still happens just about every quarter with online royalties going straight to my
business checking account).

So to hear someone say "the gold old days" are over, well, it made me pop my Prosecco cork!

I tore into the guy who wrote the supposed "copy" (not knowing it was actually a blog article),
and made my case for the fact that royalties "weren't dead yet!" (even inserting a fun Monty
Python clip).

As it turned out, the guy who wrote it ended up blasting me on his blog also. He titled it, "An
Open Letter To An A-List Copywriter (From The Guy You Lambasted In Your Last Email)". He
responded back to each of the issues I'd had with his article.

And, well, the rest is history.

You see, this dude who made my neck hairs stand on end turned out to be Chris Orzechowski,
a top email copywriter.

Someone had forwarded him my issue of Copy Insiders where I blasted him.

And the only reason I found out about Chris' follow-up response was because Ben Settle sent
me a message with a link to his post, saying "I think you done pissed him off."

I can't recall who reached out to who first, but shortly thereafter Chris and I decided to hop on a
call and talk things out... a kind of "beer summit" without beer (it was morning, after all).

While we talked and listened to each others' perspectives, we found a lot more common ground
than we had ever thought we would. We also got along real well.
But more importantly, we realized we had two different perspectives, with different areas of
experience and expertise, that could provide some incredibly valuable strategies and tactics for
any freelance copywriter.

So we put our heads together and created a first-of-its-kind program together. It's called 3Rs:
Royalties, Retainers, and Recurring Revenue, and you can read all about it and get the full story
right here.

A lot of good things have happened since the fateful misunderstanding that triggered this
copywriter "super fight".

Chris and I became fast friends as a result of our subsequent partnering..."BFFs" even. Later
that year, we got to meet in person at a Copy Chief Live event.

We even spoke on stage together the following year at The Copywriter Club In Real Life (TCC
IRL) event in Brooklyn, New York... and shared our system for finding better clients and putting
together lucrative royalty and retainer arrangements.

But most important of all, since we launched our 3Rs course, we've helped hundreds of
freelance copywriters negotiate better-paying deals, find better-quality clients, increase their
earnings without having to work harder, and feel more confident about how they approach their
copywriting business.

So what does this mean for you?

To help you make the rest of 2024 far more profitable -- by bringing in better clients and
negotiating better-paying deals, I'm opening the doors again to our 3Rs: Royalties, Retainers,
and Recurring Revenue program.

And I'm going one step further. I'm offering this game-changing program to you for a limited time
at HALF-price savings.

But I'm only keeping the doors open at these 50% off savings through this Thursday, April 18th.

So if you're ready to get off the "feast or famine" rollercoaster and start getting paid more as you
climb the copywriter ladder, you don't want to miss this golden opportunity.

We cover EVERYTHING you need to know about taking your freelance business to the next
level... negotiating higher-paying arrangements... and avoiding costly client issues and hassles.

And everything we teach you can be used to differentiate what you do and give yourself an edge
in this age of AI... position yourself as a partner, not just an "order taker"... and put together
performance-based deals like revenue share deals for writing emails and other copy.
Check it out here... you won't find anything else out there this comprehensive that covers
retainers, royalties, and how to find and close high-quality clients based on two top copywriters'
combined experience anywhere else!

Yours for smarter marketing,

Kim
